Quick, look away from the Tennessee-Florida scoreboard and focus on hoops for a second.
According to Jeff Goodman, Tennessee actually might have a game coming up this week to play. Apparently, Tennessee and Colorado are in talks to add a non-conference game.
Hearing some rumblings that Tennessee and Colorado could play this week - possibly Tuesday. Vols still haven’t played a game after having to pause and the Buffs were paused for a few days.

This report was backed up by the official Tennessee basketball account, which left some not-so-subtle clues.

Tennessee’s season opening game against UT-Martin was canceled on Friday, after being scheduled on Tuesday. It was the fifth canceled game for Tennessee so far this year, joining VCU, Charlotte, Notre Dame and Gonzaga. Games against Wisconsin and Memphis were canceled earlier in the year.
Colorado recently paused all team activities due to COVID-19 concerns, which canceled a game against Arizona. The Buffaloes have already played two games on the year, winning both against South Dakota and Kansas State. Colorado went 21-11 last season, dropping five straight to end the year.
Be on the lookout for an official announcement of this game as early as tomorrow. Hopefully, we’ll be covering a basketball game in the next few days. If not, Tennessee’s next game is scheduled for December 12th against Cincinnati.
Update: This is now official.
Tennessee and Colorado will tip off on Tuesday at Thompson-Boling Arena at 6 p.m. ET. SEC Network + will have the coverage.
The Volunteers will return the favor with a trip to Boulder in the future.
