Tennessee filled their need at quarterback in 2020 by landing five-star Harrison Bailey, but the race for signal-callers never stops in the college football world. The Volunteers have already been involved with a handful of 2021 prospects, now you can add a new name to that group.
Tennessee offered Miller Moss over the weekend, joining a crowded field trying to land the California product.
Truly honored to have received an offer from Tennessee!! #GBO pic.twitter.com/SzmpqS4aq0

Moss holds offers from several California schools, along with Alabama, Miami, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Oregon and USC. Moss is rated as a four-star prospect, sitting just inside the top 100, according to 247Sports. He’s the 8th ranked pocket passer in the 2021 class — the 7th ranked player out of the state of California.
Over the winter months, Moss took visits to Cal, UCLA, Stanford and USC.
Tennessee has a unique connection to this prospect, coming in the form of former quarterback Casey Clausen. ‘The Iceman’ currently serves as the head coach at Bishop Alemany, where Moss plays in Mission Hills. So while on the outside this may seem like a battle between California schools, Clausen could certainly keep Tennessee alive in this process.
Notice the pictures he chose to announce the offer with above.
Moss threw for over 3,100 yards as a junior, including 28 touchdowns against ten interceptions. Add him to your names to watch list for 2021, and keep that Clausen connection in mind.
