Michigan, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Alabama, Oklahoma, Arizona State and Florida joined Tennessee in Spindler’s top ten.
The four-star prospect ranks inside of the top 50 of the 247Sports Composite Rankings, sitting at 49th overall. The 6-4, 295 pound prospect is the second ranked offensive guard in the 2021 class.
Spindler earned his Tennessee offer back in December of 2019. Most of his crystal ball projections point towards the homestate Michigan Wolverines for now.
His father Marc played at Pitt before spending nine seasons in the NFL as a defensive lineman, so Rocco’s bloodlines clearly aren’t lacking football talent.
Tennessee was able to go into Georgia and West Virginia to pluck two five-star offensive line prospects during the 2019 cycle. Wanya Morris anchored the class and Darnell Wright was a big addition on signing day. Those two figure to start this season as Tennessee boasts one of the best offensive lines in the nation.
Perhaps that could be a selling point for Spindler, as Tennessee tries to wrestle their way into the picture against the schools from up north.
