Kamar Wilcoxson gave Tennessee their second big commitment in as many days, shooting them inside of the top ten classes currently for 2021. Wilcoxson chose Tennessee over a number of other SEC schools, most notably Alabama, who had really turned up the heat over the past couple of weeks.
But Wilcoxson is no stranger to commitment announcements. He’s committed before — twice to the Florida Gators. He’s also decommitted twice — from the Florida Gators. That can be frustrating for a coaching staff, no doubt.
However, one Florida staffer let it get to him after Wilcoxson committed to Tennessee on Monday. John Herron, Florida’s assistant director of player personnel, asked on Twitter if that was Wilcoxson’s final answer, complete with a picture of Regis Philbin.
Bad look.

In a since deleted tweet, Wilcoxson responded, ““Lol, you mad jit? You grown throwing shots, I can’t wait til I see y’all boys!”
Oh, it was also Florida head coach Dan Mullen’s birthday on Monday.
Best part about Kamar Wilcoxson’s commitment to the #Vols yesterday .....

It was on Dan Mullens birthday.
Wilcoxson is a four-star defensive back out of the IMG Academy in Florida. He’s the 237th ranked player in the 2021 cycle and the 13th ranked safety prospect. He joins five-star pass rusher Dylan Brooks, who committed to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.
Tennessee currently ranks 7th in the 2021 class rankings while Florida sits 3rd.
