The good news keeps on coming for Tennessee football. Today, 5-star linebacker Terrence Lewis committed to the Volunteers, making him their fifth commit in the past week. Four of those five are top-300 players. Lewis is the highest ranked of them all.

Lewis is a super-charged version of a linebacker already on the roster: Henry To’oto’o.
He has just about everything you want from a linebacker in modern football. Great athlete who can roam the field or strike at the line; has an instinct for what the ball carrier is going to do; has no problem making contact and finishing through on tackles; and more. Really the only thing missing is a little bit more weight on his frame.
Tennessee’s momentum on the trail is almost comical at this point. They’ve rocketed up the recruiting rankings by adding elite talent on the defensive side of the ball. First with 5-star defensive end Dylan Brooks, and now with 5-star linebacker Terrence Lewis. Bookending those two was 4-star wide receiver Julian Nixon and 4-star athlete Kamar Wilcoxson. Top JUCO running back Tiyon Evans joined the fold earlier today.
The only question is: Who is next? Tennessee’s class is filling up, and right now they’ve got 15 in the boat. With over half the class filled, it will become a question of which players want to reserve their spot. Some potential names that would make a “splash” include 4-star running back Cody Brown, 4-star defensive tackle KaTron Evans, and 4-star linebacker Aaron Willis.
Tennessee’s class currently ranks 4th nationally and second in the SEC. They likely have just 10 scholarships remaining.
