Sports are slowly creeping back into the picture as the country begins to reopen following the coronavirus shutdown. One sport that has a unique advantage is golf, which is naturally social distant and obviously played outdoors. The PGA Tour is set to return at the beginning of June, but a special event will take place today to give everyone something to watch on Sunday afternoon.
Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods will team up to take on Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson, recreating a different version of the Tiger vs. Phil match in November of 2018. But this time the event will be shown on cable.
TBS, TNT, TruTV and HLN will carry the coverage, which is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET. The match will take place in Florida at Medalist Golf Club.
The match will donate 10 million dollars to coronavirus relief.
Manning and Brady’s on-field rivalry ended in 2016 after Peyton’s retirement. Brady is still ticking at the age of 42, inking a new deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason. You know the competitive fire still burns in these two though, and it’s sure to be entertaining with Peyton involved.
Woods and Manning are favored in the match, thanks to the event taking place at Tiger’s home course.
