Jeremy Pruitt announced that Tennessee has taken action to remove Tim Jordan from the football program today on a media call via Zoom. Jordan was arrested in May in Florida, charged with carrying a concealed weapon, along with two misdemeanor drug charges. Jordan was released on bond shortly after.

Tennessee did not have an official comment at the time of his arrest.

“Tim is no longer on our team,” Pruitt said simply during a Zoom call on Thursday.

The rising senior running back ranked third on the team in rushing in 2019 and was expected to once again have a role in the Tennessee offense in 2020. Following his dismissal, more will obviously land on the plates of Eric Gray and Ty Chandler. Quavaris Crouch, Carlin Fils-Aime, Len’Neth Whitehead, Tee Hodge and Jabari Small could also factor into the equation.

Jordan is a former three-star prospect out of Bartow, Florida. In three seasons in Knoxville, Jordan ran for just over 1,000 yards and four touchdowns.
