If you follow the Vols, then you know all about Henry To’o To’o.
After an excellent freshman year and the departure of senior linebacker Daniel Bituli, To’o To’o is ready to step up and become the leader of the Vols’ defense.
Because of this, the NCAA knows all about him, too.
That’s why he was chosen to be a on the preseason watch list for the Bednarik, Butkus, and Nagurski awards. The Bednarik is for the best defensive player in the country (chosen by the Maxwell Club), the Butkus is for the best linebacker, and the Nagurski is for the best defensive player in the country chosen by the Football Writers Association of America. As it turns out, he is the only sophomore in the country to be featured on all three watch lists.
The Vols released a hype video on Wednesday celebrating To’o To’o’s nominations and as always, they knocked it out of the park:

To’o To’o’s 72 total tackles were fourth nationally among freshmen and he started in 12 of 13 games for the Vols in 2019.
