The Tennessee Volunteers will open their 2020 season against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Volunteers will make the trip to Columbia this year, looking to make it two in a row against Will Muschamp’s program.
Tennessee and the rest of the Southeastern Conference will play a conference-only schedule in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Non-conference games against Furman, Charlotte, Oklahoma and Troy were canceled earlier this month. Using a strength of schedule formula, the SEC added two games to each team’s schedule for the fall, awarding the Volunteers Texas A&M and Auburn.
The opener against South Carolina will take place on September 26th. The entire schedule will be released tonight, live on the SEC Network at 7 p.m. ET.
