Add 2020 first team All-American to the list of Trey Smith’s accolades. The senior offensive lineman turned down an opportunity to go to the NFL this offseason, hoping to finish what he started back in 2017.
Smith is expected to anchor an offensive line that returns five starters this season. He will once again play alongside of Brandon Kennedy, K’Rojhn Calbert, Wanya Morris and Darnell Wright as the Tennessee offense looks to take a big step forward this fall.
After a couple of seasons battling blood clots in his lungs, Smith was finally able to play a full season in 2019. He had to shake off some rust early, but Smith quickly returned to form. Now a senior, the former five-star tackle is a top offensive guard prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft.
