One of the worst case scenarios for Tennessee is playing out right before our very eyes. An investigation that dragged out to a month after the season resulted in the firing of head coach Jeremy Pruitt. That, in turn, has several players wondering what their next move might be.
For Henry To’o To’o, Eric Gray, Quavaris Crouch and Jahmir Johnson, that next move is the transfer portal.

Tough loss for the Vols, if Henry decides to transfer.
Those four follow the loss of five-star tackle Wanya Morris last week. Tennessee is also set to lose their highest-rated signee of the 2021 class, as Dylan Brooks requested his NLI release late on Tuesday night.
To’o To’o is the biggest loss yet — the clear cut leader of Tennessee defense. The former four-star linebacker was a huge pull for Jeremy Pruitt and an immediate difference maker for the Volunteers. His loss is nothing short of a gut-punch.
Quavaris Crouch was To’o To’o’s wingman in the middle of the defense, so now Tennessee will be forced to replace each of their starting inside linebackers. Eric Gray was the best player on the offense, while Jahmir Johnson was set to grab a starting left tackle role if he stayed.
So that’s the leading tackler and leading rusher now gone — four starters in total. Gone. In addition to what has already left.
This has gotten ugly real fast, and it could get even worse. You have to wonder — other than Kevin Steele — who is going to take this job now?
