Tennessee is back on the basketball court tonight, looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season. Alabama got the best of the Vols on Saturday, shooting lights out from three-point range in the second half. The Volunteers get another good team tonight, with Eric Musselman’s Arkansas Razorbacks in town.
Arkansas is 9-1, fresh off of their own first loss of the season to Missouri. The Hogs played a light non-conference slate, but were able to win their first SEC game against Auburn. They’re led by a trio of guards — Moses Moody, JD Notae and Desi Sills, each averaging north of 13 points per game.
Tennessee will have to sort out their offense, which struggled out of the gates against Alabama, and never recovered with Jaden Springer sidelined and John Fulkerson and Yves Pons in foul trouble.
Rick Barnes called his team out after the loss, which typically seems to light a fire under his teams. Let’s see how they respond.
