SEC Week Five Picks: Straight up and against the spread

NCAA Football: Texas at Arkansas Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Week five is upon us, and we have several big games in SEC play today. Georgia and Arkansas is the headliner, with Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks looking to do the impossible once more. They’re in Athens today, taking on the No. 2 ranked Bulldogs in a game that has all kinds of impact on the College Football Playoff.

Lane Kiffin will take on his old boss today in Tuscaloosa, with the Rebels looking to prove that they’re for real. Kiffin’s bunch can score in bunches, but can the defense get enough stops? It’s a potential track meet — and should be a lot of fun.

Elsewhere, Kentucky is in another prove-it spot as they welcome the Florida Gators to town.

And finally, Tennessee-Missouri has potential to be one of the most fun games on the slate today, with defense appearing to be optional. Missouri’s 129th ranked run defense should be an issue for the Tigers today, as Tennessee is set to unleash Jabari Small and Tiyon Evans. Can the Tennessee defense do enough to pull out a win though?

Our week five picks are below, powered by Tallysight.
