SEC Week 8 Picks: Straight up and against the spread

NCAA Football: Alabama at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to week eight of the college football season.

The Tennessee Volunteers have made the trip south and are set to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, looking to snap a 14 game losing streak in the series. While Tennessee is much improved, it’s going to take a few years (at least) for Josh Heupel to accumulate enough firepower to hand with Nick Saban’s program. The Vols are 25 point underdogs entering this one, but we all feel confident in Tennessee beating that number.

Elsewhere in conference, it’s a fairly light schedule. LSU-Ole Miss should be plenty of fun. Tons of money has come in on the Tigers there, with the line crashing all the way down to around seven points.

Mississippi State-Vanderbilt and South Carolina-Texas A&M are the only other conference games on the slate.

You can find our picks for each game, both straight up and against the spread, below. As always, powered by Tallysight.
