Week 9 SEC Picks: Straight up and against the spread

Syndication: Online Athens Bob Self, Florida Times-Union / USA TODAY NETWORK

No game for Tennessee this week, and frankly, it’s a light week around the rest of the conference.

Florida-Georgia is the obvious headliner, as Dan Mullen’s seat continues to heat up. He now gets to face the No. 1 Bulldogs, who are just absolutely smashing everyone in their path this year. Vegas has Georgia as a two touchdown favorite, and a blowout loss for the Gators could really turn things up a notch in Gainesville.

Kentucky will make the trip to Starkville for a dangerous meeting with Mississippi State ahead of next week’s game against Tennessee. It’s an obvious trap spot — on the road, ahead of a rivalry game. They are coming off of a bye week, however. Vegas has this game as nearly a pick ‘em, for what it’s worth.

Finally, Ole Miss will travel to Auburn to cap off the day in what could be another wild one for the Rebels. Auburn is actually the favorite here, despite the lofty ranking for Ole Miss. It’s a big spot for Bryan Harsin’s year one Tigers, which have a tough road ahead with Texas A&M and Alabama still remaining on the schedule.

Below are our picks for the week, powered by TallySight.
