Tennessee will not be taking on South Carolina on Tuesday — that game will now happen on Wednesday instead. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon after a tier one staffer on the Tennessee side tested positive for COVID.

Per the release, the test was administered on Sunday during routine testing, which occurs three days per week. Tennessee has had a few games moved around due to COVID, one of which already coming against South Carolina.
The Gamecocks are 5-9 on the season and have been one of the teams most affected by the pandemic to this point. Their trip to Knoxville is now scheduled for Wednesday, February 17th, with tip-off slated for 9 p.m. ET. SEC Network will carry the broadcast.
As things currently stand, Tennessee has just four scheduled games remaining. However, with an open week set between the end of the regular season and the start of the conference tournament, makeup dates could be added.
