Tennessee stayed hot on the diamond this week, taking two of three over the Florida Gators. The series victory moved them up once again in the national polls — all the way up to No. 3, per the USA Today poll. The No. 3 mark is the highest ranking in program history.

A 9-3 mark to this point in SEC play gives Tennessee their best start to a conference slate since the 2004 season.

The Volunteers now sit at 27-6 on the season, trailing only Arkansas and Vanderbilt in the USA Today poll. The Vols and Commodores are set for a huge series this weekend in Knoxville, with the winner taking control of the SEC East. Tennessee will host currently top-ranked Arkansas on May 14-16.

Tennessee takes a mid-week road trip to Western Carolina tonight (5 p.m. ET, ESPN+).
