Tennessee dropped a tough series against Vanderbilt last weekend, but the upstart Volunteers proved they belonged. Lindsey Nelson was rocking all series long, proving to be one of the more hostile venues in the SEC this season.
The Volunteers bounced back with a win over Tennessee Tech on Tuesday night, now they’ll hit the road to face the Texas A&M Aggies this weekend. It will be just the second ever trip to College Station for Tennessee baseball.
Tennessee dropped to No. 5 in the polls following the series loss to Vandy, but they’ve got a chance for a rebound here. The Aggies are struggling this season, holding a 22-17 overall record and a 4-11 mark in SEC play.
After this for Tennessee will be a Tuesday game against Lipscomb, and then a series against Kentucky next weekend.
