Welcome to the biggest baseball series of the season. No. 4 Tennessee has proven that they’re here to stay this season, and they’ve got another chance to prove they belong this weekend. The Volunteers will welcome Tony Vitello’s former employer to town — the top-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.
Tennessee, now 38-11 overall, leads the SEC East race over Vanderbilt. Both Tennessee and Arkansas are 17-7 in SEC play. That tie atop the overall league standings will be broken this weekend.
Lindsey Nelson Stadium will be rocking as usual, but even more so this weekend. The University announced that the stadium would operate at 100 percent capacity for the first time this season, starting this weekend. It’s a timely decision, and it’s going to create a wild environment all weekend long.
