On Monday afternoon, the Tennessee Volunteers added their fifth commitment of the 2022 recruiting cycle. Brian Grant, an offensive tackle prospect out of Florida, gave the Volunteers their first offensive line commit of the class.
Grant made the announcement with the following tweet.

The 6-8, 270 pound prospect is currently unranked by 247Sports. He’s new to the game of football, quickly learning and developing his craft at the offensive tackle position. Clearly at 6-8, Grant could easily afford to put on more weight as he preps for SEC play down the road.
Grant held just two power five offers — Tennessee and Maryland. Josh Heupel and his staff identified Grant as a target while at UCF, and offered him once again upon arriving in Knoxville. Grant visited Tennessee for the first time a few weeks ago during the Orange and White Game, and clearly that was enough to sell him on his future.
Going into his senior season at Choctawhatchee High School, Grant plays on both the offensive and defensive line. If nothing else, this is a big, athletic body with plenty of room to develop down the road.
Tennessee now sits 39th overall in the very early 2022 recruiting rankings, per 247Sports.
