We’ve got one final weekend of regular season action before the fun really begins for Tennessee. The Volunteers will close out their regular season with a series against the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia, beginning on Thursday night.
Tennessee still sits as the No. 4 ranked team in the country, following a tough series loss against No. 1 Arkansas last weekend. They are at the top of the SEC East standings, narrowly edging out Vanderbilt entering the final three games of the regular season. If they can hang on to the top spot, it will be Tennessee’s first SEC East regular season crown since 1997.
The Volunteers currently have a 40-13 overall record, holding an 18-9 mark in SEC play. South Carolina sits mid-pack in the SEC with 15-12 conference record and 32-18 mark overall.
