Tennessee picked up another commitment on Saturday morning, earning a pledge from three-star offensive tackle Maurice Clipper Jr. The Georgia native made his announcement below with a Twitter post.

Clipper is coming off of his official visit to Tennessee during the last week of June. He also took official visits to Louisville and Virginia Tech last month. He first saw Tennessee during the Orange and White game on an unofficial visit.
The 6-4, 299 pound tackle is another example of a guy with a loaded offer list, but his ranking doesn’t exactly match. Clipper is ranked as the 791st overall player in the 2022 class, per 247Sports. He’s the 66th ranked player in the state of Georgia, yet holds offers from Alabama and the home state Bulldogs.
Clipper is the third offensive line commitment for Tennessee, joining three-star Brian Grant and three-star Masai Reddick. He is the tenth overall commitment for the Volunteers, who currently rank 41st in the 247Sports class rankings.
Tennessee will likely be losing K’Rojhn Calbert, Riley Locklear, Jerome Carvin and Cade Mays after this season. To this point, the Volunteers have done a nice job replacing those numbers, and are still in the thick of things with four-star guard Addison Nichols.
