An in-state target of Tennessee’s has narrowed his choices down to five. Anthony Brown, a three-star athlete out of Milan, Tennessee, included the Volunteers in his cut down over the weekend. Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana rounded out the rest of his list.

The 6-1, 190 pound Brown has racked up over 35 scholarship offers to this point. He currently sits 500th overall, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The three-star prospect is the 18th ranked player in the state of Tennessee for the 2022 cycle.
Brown visited Tennessee unofficially on June 10th — his first look at Knoxville since Josh Heupel had been hired. He received his offer from Tennessee just a couple of weeks before Jeremy Pruitt was fired over the winter.
Tennessee has been playing catch-up here, with Arkansas sitting as the perceived leader for now. One thing of note — his 7-on-7 teammate Jaylen Lewis committed to Arkansas last week. The Razorbacks currently hold five crystal ball projections for Brown.
Brown has now taken official visits to Arkansas, Memphis and Indiana. Tennessee is in the mix for one of those final official visits, as Brown eyes a potential late summer commitment.
The Volunteers have yet to land a defensive back commitment in their 2022 class to this point. They have been able to add transfers Kamal Hadden and Brandon Turnage to the 2021 class, each who have multiple years of eligibility remaining.
