Tennessee has picked up another 2022 commitment today, earning a pledge from wide receiver Marquarius White. The Pinson, Alabama native made the announcement below.

Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and Louisville were among his final four. White also held offers from Alabama, Michigan, Georgia and Auburn.

White is a three-star prospect, checking in at 500th overall in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the 68th ranked receiver in the class, coming in as the 21st ranked player in the state of Alabama. White took his official visit to Tennessee during the last week of June.

White is Tennessee’s first receiver commitment of the 2022 class. He joins a pretty nice young core of talent at the position for the Volunteers, adding to Jalin Hyatt, Jimmy Calloway, Walker Merrill, Julian Nixon, Jimmy Holiday and others.

Tennessee now holds nine commitments in the class of 2022.

White also runs track, and claims to have been clocked at a 4.37 in the 40 yard dash. That would add some needed speed to the offense, giving Tennessee another burner outside of Hyatt for the future. Josh Heupel’s offense is known to utilize the deep ball, so having guys that can make plays down the field is a must.

His offer list speaks for itself — this is a really nice pickup for Tennessee. Check out the highlights below.
