Josh Heupel and company stayed hot on the recruiting trail this week, adding three more commitments to their 2022 class as they continue to play catch-up. Chas Nimrod is the latest pledge, jumping in Tennessee’s class on Thursday night. He’s the third receiver to commit to Tennessee so far this year.

Per 247Sports, Nimrod is a three-star prospect ranking just outside of the top 500 players overall. The 6-3, 181 pound receiver is the sixth-ranked player in the state of Arkansas. He chose Tennessee over offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Illinois and Memphis.

Nimrod is explosive on tape. He brings legitimate speed to the table, able to blow past defenders at the high school level during his strides. He also served as his team’s kickoff returner, further utilizing that speed. Nimrod also shows a nice ability to make contested grabs, using that big 6-3 frame. He fits at Tennessee as an outside receiver and should help Josh Heupel’s offense be able to push the ball down the field.

Nimrod joins a pretty good looking group of receivers so far in this class, adding to Squirrel White and Cam Miller. They join four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson in the class as Heupel and his staff work to put their stamp on this roster.
