Finally, Jauan Jennings has his first catch in the NFL. Unsurprisingly, it went for a touchdown. The former Tennessee Volunteer scored just before halftime for the San Francisco 49ers, who are in Philadelphia today taking on the Eagles.

Watch the moment below.

Jennings was a 7th round pick of the 49ers back in the 2020 NFL Draft. The former high school quarterback turned himself into a pretty good receiver during his time at Tennessee, known for his tenacity and ability to go get the football.

He delivered one of the most famous plays in Tennessee history, catching the ‘Dobbnail Boot’ to beat Georgia back in 2016. For his career, Jennings caught 146 passes for 2,153 yards and 18 touchdowns. He saved the best for last, racking up 969 yards and eight scores as a senior in a very inconsistent offense.

After being cut by the 49ers last year, he stuck on the practice squad, and earned a spot on the 2021 team. He’s now cracked the rotation for the 49ers, joining his former teammates Josh Palmer (Chargers) and Marquez Callaway (Saints) as contributors in the league.
