The Tennessee Volunteers will head south tonight for their first road game of the season. A night game in The Swamp is on tap for Josh Heupel, who will be coaching his first game as a head coach in Southeastern Conference play.
The Gators are coming off of a tough loss to Alabama last week, and it will be interesting to see how they respond this week against Tennessee. The Volunteers, sitting at 2-1 on the season, will be in their second straight game with Hendon Hooker starting at quarterback. He replaces Joe Milton, who was hurt against Pittsburgh and hasn’t returned to action since.
Tennessee hasn’t won in this series since 2016. The Volunteers haven’t won in The Swamp since 2003. Florida leads the overall tally to the tune of 30-20.
