The Tennessee Volunteers fell to 2-2 on Saturday night in Gainesville, suffering a 38-14 loss to the Florida Gators. Next up is another road trip, this time to Columbia, Missouri to face the Missouri Tigers.
Missouri also lost on Saturday, dropping a tough overtime game on the road to Boston College. In what appears to be a pretty even matchup on paper, Missouri has opened as a three point favorite according to Circa Sports.

Missouri has wins over Central Michigan and Southeastern Missouri, along with losses to Boston College and Kentucky.
It will be Heupel’s first game against his old team, where he used to be the offensive coordinator. Heupel was in Missouri for two seasons under Barry Odom, where he re-established himself as an elite play-caller. He was able to turn Drew Lock into a second round draft pick, before parlaying that success into the UCF job.
Now Heupel is trying to turn around Tennessee, which is proving to be more difficult so far. However, the Volunteers have shown flashes to this point, but nothing consistent just yet.
Can Tennessee put it all together on the road against Missouri? This is another one of those swing games for the Vols — one that could go a long way in determining whether or not this team gets to six wins in 2021.
More on this game coming tomorrow after we hear from Heupel again.
