A late one!

Tennessee basketball is back in action tonight, making the trip down to San Antonio to take part in the Hall of Fame Series against NC State. Frost Bank Center, home to the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, will play host.

Get the coffee on — you’re going to need it. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Wolfpack sit at 7-2 overall coming in, winners of three straight. They hold wins over Vanderbilt and Boston College, while taking losses to BYU and Ole Miss. NC State has a familiar name on their roster, too. DJ Burns, the former Tennessee Volunteer, is the second leading scorer for the Wolfpack. Now a senior, Burns is with his third team and thriving.

“DJ can score,” Rick Barnes said. “We knew that when we recruited him. And a guy that, he’s got a really a soft touch around the basket. He can shoot the ball really out to 15 feet and obviously he’ll work hard to get his space where he wants it.”

Tennessee will look to slow down Burns with Jonas Aidoo, who averages nearly two blocks per game.

NC State ranks 72nd in the country in KenPom, while Tennessee moved up to No. 8 following a win over Georgia Southern. KenPom projects a nine point win for the Volunteers tonight.
