At long last, the time has come. The first College Football Playoff rankings are upon us, and the process to decide a postseason is officially underway. Will this finally be the year that intrigue surrounds the four selections? Before we arrive there, a more pressing matter remains. Which team is the best in college football? And will this team be the selection committee's No. 1 overall seed this week? To help answer these questions, we asked B/R readers to give us their thoughts on CFB's cream of the crop. Amid the trash talk and (mostly polite) disagreements, a few teams stood out above all others.
Friday night and Saturday morning were a good night and good morning for the top-ranked Tennessee baseball team, and Vols coach Tony Vitello had plenty to say about it. A game scheduled for Friday night started close to Saturday morning in Eastern Time at The Hoover Met, but the Vols were awake and alert enough to dispatch 21s-ranked LSU in a 5-2 win that put Tennessee directly into the semifinal round of the tournament. Las Vegas is the perfect venue for the Wrangler NFR as there is plenty to do and a lot to see while you are visiting. Watch NFR live streaming from anywhere and which cowboy are you excited to see in December? Let us know in the comments!
This seems too good to be true.
"A Florida student obsessed with the University of Tennessee wanted to represent the Volunteers during his elementary school's "College Colors Day," but didn't own any of their apparel -- so he took the matter into his own hands. Laura Snyder, his teacher at Altamonte Elementary School in Altamonte Springs, says he drew a "U.T.", the university's logo, on paper and pinned it to an orange t-shirt. "When the day finally arrived, he was SO EXCITED to show me his shirt," Snyder wrote Wednesday on Facebook. "I was impressed that he took it one step further to make his own label." But by lunch time, the spirited Vols fan was in tears."
This would fall under the category of VFL does good...
On October 1, 2016, Josh Malone and I were standing next to each other on the sideline at Georgia’s Sanford Stadium as time painfully ticked off the clock. I turned to him and made a comment that not only summed up the game, but which also turned out to be prophetic regarding our season. "Man, this is like riding a roller coaster." I know a lot of Tennessee fans were feeling the same way.
Welcome home, brother!
Guess what?! It's like we've been saying...Jalen has been having a tough year.
Really surprising and disappointing to lose such a talented young player.
