Sheriron Jones became Tennessee's third quarterback commitment in the 2015 class when he gave his verbal commitment on January 8th, following an official visit to Knoxville. Like many young quarterbacks, Jones has inconsistent footwork and relies too heavily on his natural arm strength rather than setting and making the throw in rhythm. However, he is an intelligent player with good field vision who displays excellent pocket presence and does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield. While ranked as a dual threat quarterback, Jones rarely looks to run as his first or second option, preferring to use his legs to escape pressure so that he can make a big play with his arm down the field. With physical development and improved mechanics, he has the tools to be a multi-year SEC starter for the Vols.
