Justin Martin | Nashville, TN | CB | 6-2 | 190 | 0.9069 | 2 | 4 |
Justin Martin has prototypical NFL cornerback size and speed -- if his academics had been in order, he might have competed with Josh Malone and Jalen Hurd for the top rating in Tennessee. However, Martin did not qualify directly out of high school and entered the junior college ranks instead, traveling out to Miami, Oklahoma to play for Northwestern Oklahoma A&M. While at junior college, Martin not only took the time to get his academics in order, he learned the importance of perspective, with uncomfortable hours spent on the side of the road following bus breakdowns helping him learn patience and gratitude. Now back in the state where he starred in high school, Martin can't wait to take advantage of the opportunities he has for a fresh start at Tennessee. With his physical tools and newfound drive, expect Martin to make an immediate impact on the field for the Vols in 2015.
