It is never too early to look into the future, especially when it comes to college football.
Knowing where your team stands when it comes to recruiting can either make you jump for joy or start having conniption fits. Regardless, it is always exciting to see your school chase after top notch talent and occasionally get the player they want.
Without further delay, here is a quick look at the 2018 class for Tennessee Vols football:
After landing just 9 blue-chippers last cycle, #Vols 2018 class already includes...

5⭐️ OT
4⭐️ QB
4⭐️ WR
4⭐️ RB
4⭐️ DT
And it's only May.
It’s looking like 2014 & 2015 all over again
With the possibility of losing most of their starters on the offensive line in the next couple of seasons, it is integral for the Vols to go after the best players in the country.
Having a player like Cade Mays come in will help ease the transition in that area of the team.
Here are the top five players that UT is currently interested in:
- Zamir White, 5-Star RB, Laurinburg, NC
- Jackson Carman, 5-Star OT, Fairfield, OH
- Micah Parsons, 5-Star DE, Harrisburg, PA
- Amon-Ra St. Brown, 5-Star WR, Santa Ana, CA
- Jamaree Salyer, 5-Star OG, Atlanta, GA
I know May commits are about as reliable as a wet paper bag, but if the Vols continue their pace and can add just one of these five players, look for them to crack the top 10 for the third time in Jones’s tenure.
