Brown is the second tight end to commit to Tennessee so far in the 2019 cycle. He joins four-star Jackson Lowe in the Vols’ current class. 247 Sports has Brown rated as a three-star recruit. He is their 37th ranked tight end prospect in the country, currently.
His commitment came down to Tennessee and Auburn with the Vols coming out on top of the Tigers once again. Just last week Tennessee beat out Auburn for five-star tackle Wanya Morris.

Despite the numbers that Tennessee has at tight end, Jeremy Pruitt clearly felt the need to bolster the position. Freshman Jacob Warren will join JUCO Dominick Wood-Anderson on the roster this year. Eli Wolf, LaTrell Bumphus and Austin Pope were already in place.
Brown gives Tennessee their sixth commitment of the 2019 class to this point. That class currently is good for 31st in the country, according to 247’s rankings.
